Witness Statement<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jaime Manuel Goncalves Graca<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Profession: Stone mason<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place of Work: OC<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He does all the necessary work – external and interiors – in the resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He does not often frequent the apartment blocks that are in use, he is attentive to their being in a good condition, but only sporadically carries our repairs within the apartments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He mentions that he does not have direct contact with clients\/guests at the complex and when he does do work in the apartments, this only happens when the apartments are not in use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His hours are from 08.00 to 17.00 on weekdays, with the weekends off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As regards the investigation, he says he knows nothing that could be of interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He says that before seeing the news and the images of the McCann family, he had never seen them or their children before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the day of the events he was at work as usual, at 17.00 he left work to go to his home in Lagos, where he stayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When questioned, he said that he is currently carrying out repairs in the area behind the Millenium restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He heard about the events on Friday when he turned up for work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He saw nothing strange or suspicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
